I was very disappointed in the Nutcracker. The professional dancers were fabulous, but most of the local 'talent' was horrible. The props looked cheap and homemade. The crew made several mistakes with the lighting and curtain that added to the unprofessional feeling of the performance. If you know someone local who is performing in the show, I suppose that would add to your enjoyment. However, if you want to see a professional presentation of this show, I would suggest making the trip to Raleigh. In addition, we were seated near some very noisy people and had to move to get away from them. We couldn't wait for the show to end and will not be going back.
